ABOUT KRISSY

Krissy is a seasoned Massage Therapist, who holds a Diploma of Remedial and Therapeutic Massage. Over the last 15 years she has worked with a broad range of people in a variety of settings. Throughout this time she has developed into a highly skilled and intuitive bodyworker, who is able to hold a secure, non-judgmental and confidential space for her clients. 

Krissy's professional development includes specialty training in Pregnancy Massage, Oncology Massage, Myofascial Release, and most recently, Fascial Stretch Therapy. 

Krissy has run her own private practice in Auckland and the Waikato, as well as holding positions as an employed Therapist at Dove Hospice, Waikato/Bay of Plenty Cancer Society, and Hospice Waikato. She has worked extensively with people at all stages of cancer, and other life limiting illnesses, including at end of life, and also providing treatments for Whanau members and the bereaved. 

Krissy has experience in supporting people with stress, anxiety, depression, grief, cancer, chronic conditions, complex physical histories, and trauma. 

Krissy approaches her practice with a blend of professionalism and empathy, and is dedicated to meeting each client's unique needs.

RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma of Remedial and Therapeutic Massage - Wellpark College of Natural Therapies, Auckland.
  • Oncology Massage Training 1 - Facilitated by Oncology Massage Training Australia.
  • Myofascial Release Therapy , The Fundamentals course, and Advanced Lower and upper body courses - Facilitated by Beth Beauchamp, Medical Massage Therapist/Instructor
  • Fascial Stretch Therapy, Certified Level One Practitioner - Stretch to Win Institute, Phoenix, Arizona
